September is Sickle Cell Awareness Month
Through September, the chapter joined the national Sickle Cell Awareness effort with education, a movie night, and blood drive training, work that continues into the holiday Blood Drive Challenge.

Recap: Summer of service, our garden competition and literacy supply drive
Our summer closed with two community-facing efforts: the 3rd Annual Garden Competition, celebrating neighborhood beautification across Dallas, and the Loose Loot for Literacy school supply drive, sending students back to class ready to learn.
